Each team will play 11 matches in the second leg with the top 8 set to play in the playoffs for the championship.
Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) women's league side Zetech Sparks completed their first leg of the 2022 league action with back-to-back victories this weekend against Eagle Wings and Dynamites.
The Maurice Obilo-led side is eyeing a final berth at this season's campaign, an improvement from their third-place finish last season.
Obilo believes that the side will weather the storm of the second leg without the services of their most experienced guard, Debora Obunga who has since switched allegiance to Equity Hawks and the weekend was her last with the varsity team.
"We have ended the first leg on a high. I am happy that my players came out strong in the last two matches and I am happy with the progress.
We still have a few things to work on going into the second leg, having changed our style of play after the first eight matches, but I am confident we will be where we want to be in about two weeks or so," Obilo offered adding that their title hopes remain intact.

On the weekend Chantal Kiyobi and Christine Akinyi proved that they can get the job done, powering the side to a 95-40 victory over former champions Eagle Wings before seeing off fellow scholars 66-36.
The tactician, while acknowledging that Obunga has been an integral part of his squad, maintains that the team will keep the battle gpihbg in her absence.
So far, Sparks have lost once in the first leg to holders Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) and are ranked second after 11 matches, a position they are hoping to maintain in the second leg for a favorable fixture in the playoffs.
